This past weekend we had the Oscar de la Renta Spring 2011 Trunk Show. The response was amazing, and we were fully booked for the show. Brides from all over were in our showroom through all hours of the day. The Spring 2011 collection was a huge hit with brides, and many brides found the gown for their big day this past weekend. Brides from Australia, L.A, Panama, New York, Nicaragua, Miami, Brazil, Haiti, Palm Beach, and Columbia were in the store this weekend and found the one!
The collection is amazing, it is inspired by gardens. The gowns have a wonderfully fresh sense to them and some with touches of pastel greens, pinks and nudes to complete the collections feeling. The embroidered gowns were breathtaking, and our brides thought so too. The new collection of accessories for Spring 2011 were very well recieved as well. Our brides could not get their hands off of the new shoes and had to have them for their wedding day. Oscar introduced a collection of bridal accessories with bracelets, stunning earrings and amazing necklaces. Each peice adds such character to whichever gown it is paired with.

Oscar de la RentaNew York’s Shanna Chaityn joined us for the event and met with brides. During this weekend, Gloria Estefan’s son was married to Lara Coppola, who had her gown done by Oscar de la Renta in New York, a 2009 collection gown. Shanna was down for the wedding as well and extended an invitation to me to attend.

The wedding was held at the Estefan household in Miami Beach. The bride wed outside on the families dock and the reception was held in the backyard, it was beautiful. While at the wedding I ran into a friend, Danny Santiago, a stylist on the Sex and The City 2 movie. It was a pleasure being able to catch up and talk about the world of fashion!
To end this amazing weekend for us, we had a mother call on Monday for her daughter. She was incredibly interested in seeing the Oscar de la Renta Spring 2011 collection that was already packed in the trunks ready to ship out to the UK. Of course I had her come asap to see the gowns before they shipped out! Her daughter, Daniella Rebull jumped at the opportunity and came to see the fabulous gowns. Not far into the appointment Daniella found the gown of her dreams and of course it was a Spring 2011 Oscar de la Renta peice. Wanting to share this special moment with her family, they called Aunts and cousins to hurry in to see “the” gown before it shipped off to London. Family was arriving in bathing suits from the beach, not able to wait to see Daniella in her gown! Everyone enjoyed a toast of champagne to Daniella and her newly found wedding gown, it was a memorable experience for her. She found the perfect look at Ever After, and with perfect timing. She will now have her Spring 2011 Oscar gown for her January 15th, 2011 wedding, being one of the first in Miami to wear this particular peice.
It was a great, fabulous, wonderful weekend for all of us at Ever After, and we look forward to many, many more of the same in the future!
