Eunice Kennedy Shriver’s Miami Wedding
When the Ever After Team first met Eunice, we knew it was going to be a match made in bridal heaven. Eunice expressed that she wanted to wear her Grandmother’s Dior dress that was originally worn down the aisle in 1953. Named after her Grandmother, Eunice just so happened to fit perfectly in the now French Vanilla Ivory gown. Little did we know back in February when we met that 2020 had other plans for her wedding.
After paring down her guest list, Eunice planned to marry in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on October 17, 2020. “It was an honor to restore this treasure for Eunice and her family,” expressed Camille. Our Atelier alongside Camille’s guiding hand restored the original Dior skirt and then created a custom bodice and matching veil for this iconic piece of American History. A labor of love through these uncertain times, at Ever After, love conquers all.
“I appreciated the delicate care Ever After took in restoring my grandmother’s Dior wedding dress,” said Eunice Kennedy Shriver.
Vogue has written a beautiful article with details on the planning process, the wedding day, and great quotes from the bride and her husband. To view the full article, click the link below:
