Oscar de la Renta’s Spring 2012 collection was extremely youthful and feminine.
Carolina Herrera looked to her clients for inspiration. She is quoted saying “The real women of today wear these dresses, and they should be the inspiration. This is an homage to them.”
Vera Wang’s Spring 2012 collection was inspired by Paris Opera, specifically Degas and young dancers.
Anna Maier searched deep and far for inspiration, and finally found it from “the circumstance, the moment.” CEO Charles W. Bunstine II says “I seem to find my clients are not looking for the dress; they are looking for their imagination.”
Rivini’s Spring 2012 collection was inspired by “Central Park in the Spring with its trees in full bloom.” Rita Vinieris’ collection was both dreamy and elegant. Plenty of different fabrics were used such as silk basket weave tulle’s, silk gazars, silk/cotton, and a mixture of alencon laces.
Reem Acra’s collection was inspired by the upcoming royal wedding. The back drop to the show was an image of the gates at Windsor Castle. Reem’s main objective is to make every bride feel like a princess.
Ines di Santo looked from within for inspiration. She said “Fashion is an expression of who I am. I want my designs to be a living work of art on a blooming bride.”
