Peter Copping, the new Creative Director for Oscar de la Renta, conceived a bridal collection true to the late Oscar de la Renta’s elegant and timeless style with his debut Spring 2016 Bridal Collection. Copping created an absolutely beautiful 25 –piece bridal collection combining modern elements with very feminine, sophisticated silhouettes including charming flower girl dresses and fun tea-length dresses for events leading to the big day!
Copping remained true to Oscar de la Renta’s signature traits for his big debut in bridal while adding small personal traits of his own to the collection, and the combination was exquisite. Copping paid extra attention to detail in the back of the gowns. During a post show interview, Copping stated, “You have to remember, most of these dresses are seen from behind. That was something I really wanted to consider; to think how it would look when the bride is in front of everyone, and to make it as gorgeous as the front.” Familiar words that can could be overheard during bridal appointments at Ever After.
The collection had its share of lovely sheath gowns, like the remake of the Sienna Miller gown from the 2015 Oscars, and of course the largely elegant and daring ball gowns. Layers of tulle and tiers of ruffles combined with lace, embroideries and sparkling beadwork make this stand out Spring 2016 bridal collection.
