This years Met Gala primarily explores the impact of Chinese aesthetics on Western Fashion and how it is interpreted from as early as the Roman Era. Focusing on more than a hundred couture and avant-garde pieces from designers such as Alexander McQueen and Laurence Xu, the exhibit showcased paintings, decorative arts and filmic expressions of China to showcase the global significance of Chinese visual culture.

Apart from this years enchanting Met Gala theme, the anticipation built in the moments leading up to the night are centered around the iconic celebrities and socialites that will be attending and of course what they will be wearing down the Red Carpet.
