Carolina Herrera states that her latest collection is inspired by “beauty, sensuality and delicacy of the fragrant white jasmine flower”, and it was quite evident! Herrera played on lovely design elements with beautiful pops of colors like soft green and pink on skirts and veils. Carolina states, “These brides are romantic..but I want them to be seductive. That’s what they want to be, and that’s what they are, with their beautiful figures”. It’s safe to say that this collection will succeed to make brides feel feminine and seductive while remaining timeless.
Carolina Herrera utilizes flower appliques and hand embroideries to bring to life the inspiration utilized by a flower garden and finalize a romantic feel. Sheer illusion detailing and slim mermaid silhouettes in Silk Mikado, Chantilly lace and organza are a lovely trend in her 2016 spring collection. Herrera’s newest gowns speak to the bride in search of a fresh take on a traditional, timeless wedding gown. The beauty look for the show was the epitome of romance, with a barely there makeup glow and white jasmine floral bouquet. Each hairstyle was also softly adorned with miniature blooms, “an understated take on the trendy flower crown.”
Herrera’s Spring 2016 bridal collection is true to the chic, Herrera aesthetic that will remain everlasting.
